Golden Bear Solar started their operations in California in 2009 but did not have a marketing vision or an established web presence. ON Media worked directly with GBS to create a complete marketing, Web and advertising campaign.

Through updates and tweaks inspired by deep analysis and testing, Golden Bear’s website is a well honed marketing and selling machine.

Initial Planning

The first step was to create a new brand for GBS which consisted of a logo, brand guidelines and tag line(s). By leveraging their experience in ‘Smart’ power monitoring the ‘Smart Solar’ branding was established.

Project Execution

Next GBS needed a fresh and clean web presence that would educate their clients and lead to engagement via online forms. The site was built from a user-centric standpoint that enabled potential clients to perform their own research on the benefits of ‘Smart Solar’.

Final Delivery

The last phase of the marketing campaign utilized client interviews that were conducted in their own words. This campaign was the ‘Why We Went Solar’ initiative which proved to be very successful because potential clients could relate to these user stories.

Final Results

The new site and video campaign yielded a significant increase in actionable sales leads. Localized AdWords campaigns were also implemented to boost local sales leads. Overall increase in potential business was boosted by 50%.
